10 Jan High Performance Remote Filter
High performance and racing air cooled engines require oil filtration superior to that offered by traditional oil filtering systems. Addressing that need, LAT’s remote mounted Hi-Flow Racing Oil Filter is equipped with a 35 micron, “Dutch Weave” element that is easily and quickly removed for inspection and cleaning. Each unit is fit with a 325° high temperature magnet which captures and secures engine destroying metal particles. Filter bodies are machined from the finest 6061 billet aluminum and tested to a burst rate exceeding 1000 lbs. The filter’s unrestricted; Hi-Flow design produces minimal back pressure to the oil pump with resulting benefits including increased horsepower. For racers this is a must have item as you can literally check your filter in minutes for evidence of potential problems before they cause sever damage. All LAT Racing Filters are designed without a bypass system so 100% of the oil is filtered prior to re-circulation through the engine. Several size filters are available, the most appropriate for Porsche and VW applications being the HP10001 which incorporates a standard mounting thread of 3/4″-16 as found on HP1 and PH8A based filters.
