Grooves caused by contact with the seal, rust, pitting and scratches can cause oil leaks around the CV flange and seal surface. Rancho now offers builders and home repair enthusiasts a thin steel sleeve that eliminates the oil leakage problem. Precision fabricated for a press-fit over the damaged flange, they provide a like new surface for the seal to ride on, eliminating any leaks. Installation is quick and simple using an application specific installation tool. Simply clean the flange shaft area removing any “high imperfections” surface rust, dirt, grease etc. Spread a thin coat of red Locktite thread sealer on the shaft and inside surface of the saver. Center saver on the shaft and either tap or press in place using the installation tool. Remove excess Locktite and that’s it! Retail price for Saver kit, which includes 1 Seal Saver and 1 installation tool, is just $19.95. Additional Seal Savers sell for $11.95 each. The tool is reusable so it’s a keeper for the tool box.
