A few years back there were rumors floating around that the popular Mendeola line of sand, off road and high performance transaxles were no longer available. Nothing could have been farther from the truth. It was, as the Prez would say nothing more than “Fake News.” In 2012 Weddle Industries in Goleta, California purchased the rights to manufacture the most popular Mendeola transaxles including all of their components. This led to a welcomed boost in availability, enhanced quality and reliability. Over the years these transaxles have pretty much been re-branded as Weddle transaxles and are readily available from Rancho. Additionally, Rancho remains the industry’s premier service and repair center for the Weddle and Meneola transmissions, shipping new and rebuilt units worldwide on a weekly basis. The Weddle/Mendeola 2D pictured is a good example. After years of hard use it was ready for some serious TLC. Rancho technicians did a full autopsy and a completely rebuilt the box with new Weddle gears, syncros, sliders and ring and pinion. Buttoned up the trans is literally, good as new and ready to ship off to its proud owner in Oklahoma.
Point being; the awesome Weddle/Mendeola transaxles are alive and well here at Rancho Performance Transaxles.
