25 May Adventure Buggy Update – Togo
Hi All,
just a short email and a few pictures which give some glimpse into the tracks Chris
decided to take. We have covered 15,000klm from Swaziland,crossing Namibia , Angola, DRC, Congo, Gabon, Cameroon, Nigeria, Benin, Togo……. and Victor is still going well fingers crossed.
To sit back and have a cold beer after such a tough trip and bush camping all the way here,
Victor looks nice and clean now as Chris just spent 3,500 CFA and pressure washed Victor to get him cleaned up.
Chris did a great job driving getting us here and I know Chris worries every day about if Victor and will we make it ok and when we got stuck on one track in soft sand, and 300mtrs of winching and 6hrs digging in 40c plus …..boy that was so hard for him as all I could do is fetch and carry things and trying not to cry too much and say that’s it I want to go home now, these are the time’s when one has to be strong and not loose it just hope I am getting stronger………..just a little bit.
