Finally a complete clutch and flywheel assembly that is purpose built for the High Performance VW. Incorporating the latest in manufacturing technology, aviation quality materials and computer design software Ron Lummus has designed and manufactured these cutting edge clutch systems from the ground up. Using real-world test vehicles, the clutch was designed to slip at the initial hit, and then hold as the rpm rises.
The new RLR unit features unique centrifugal rocker arms that actuate as the engine RPM rises. At lower RPM, only slight force is added to the top of the pressure plate, then as the RPM rises, the load from the rocker arms increase and the clamping force of the clutch is increased. It’s the perfect situation; no need to mess with large heavy clutches that require tremendous leg effort! Our REV 6 is light, like stock! Imagine being able to run big power and not have to worry about your transmission. You can expect longer transmission life and most importantly, no more leg cramps!
