Man about town and focused, no pun intended, ultra race photogrpher, Vic Penrod was on hand to catch all the happenings at what was certainly one of the most exciting and heavily attende Bug-In gatherings ever. Held Sunday April 29th at Irwindale Raceway, just south of Los Angeles, the on “again off again” event proved a smash hit and real boost to the VW|Racing community and enthusiasts from around the globe. A special treat came in the form of the appearance and participation of the Schley Bros. 3 Lightning Bug cars. These blasts from the past are legendary in the VW community and showed that even after alomst 35 years they can get down the tracki with the best of them. Thanks to Rich Kimball, Flat-4 and all the event sponsors who hung in there and made it happen.
